KMG Engineering held a charity event

Representatives of KMG Engineering’s Young Professionals Council provided food aid to lonely pensioners in the capital as part of a charity event.

Thanks to active participation in the YPC campaign that started in July, the company’s employees collected 184,500 tenge, which will be used to buy food packs for the elderly.

– For two days we travelled to the addresses on our list to get to know the elderly, to see what conditions they live in and what they need. We were not able to find all the elderly, some had passed away, some were in hospital, and there were some who did not quite need our help. We ended up going to the village of Urker (Ilyinka) to visit an elderly couple, Dosmaganbetov Orynbay and Assylzada. The children abandoned them. Both have a bouquet of illnesses, the old woman is in bed and has recently had a stroke. All their money is spent on medicines, so they have turned to the mosque for help, where we have been provided with their contact details. The elderly were grateful for our attention and the food basket we collected, – said Alisa Kim, a member of the KMG Young Professionals Council.

Food kits worth 25,148 tenge included groats, salt, minced meat, butter, cheese, vegetable oil, bakery products, tea, sweets, flour, hygiene products. The remaining funds will be kept in the YPC Fund for the next charity events, which are planned to take place on an ongoing basis.
