KMG Engineering and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries signed a Memorandum of Cooperation

Colleagues from Japan and Kazakhstan will examine together the potential uses of contemporary MHI technologies for KMG Engineering purposes and share their experiences in the development of hydrogen parks and other projects.

A meeting was held recently at the KMG Engineering Head Office in Astana with representatives of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, including Senior Vice President Hiroshi Matsuda, General Director for CIS Yasushi Kakitsuka, and Deputy General Director of the regional division Alexander Bisikalo.

The company’s General Director, Malik Salimgereyev, gave a warm welcome to the guests and mentioned that one of the company’s most promising areas is hydrogen energy.

“As a research institute, KMG Engineering must keep an eye on global trends in this area and develop its own capabilities,” said the head of KMG Engineering.

Senior Vice President Hiroshi Matsuda also spoke at the meeting and informed about the prospects of hydrogen energy development.

In turn, the guests were presented with the activities of the Department of Alternative Energy and the Hydrogen Technology Research Laboratory of KMG Engineering.

Participants in the meeting generally discussed the potential for collaborative projects in this field and the development of blue and green hydrogen as a tool for KMG Engineering’s decarbonization.
