The event is attended by representatives of a number of oil producing companies in Kazakhstan, higher educational institutions of the country, and also experts from scientific research institutes.

– The main goal of the seminar is coverage of new instrumental and methodical approaches in the field of pyrolysis chromatography and mass spectrometry for geochemical analysis of organic matter of rocks, as well as discussion and exchange of experience in identification of complex high-molecular compounds. The organizers of the event emphasize that Identification of opportunities and development paths of geochemistry is also planned.

Rakhim Uteyev, General Director of KMG Engineering LLP, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. He emphasized that since 2015 KMG Engineering LLP has been operating the only geochemical laboratory in Kazakhstan, which is engaged in the study of source rocks in the main sedimentary basins of the country on the basis of biomarker analysis of oil.

The seminar will also include a presentation of the results of complex geochemical research of oil and source rocks from fields in the North Buzachi and North Ustyurt oil and gas basins.

These results are of considerable interest in the evaluation of prospective structures on the basis of basin modelling and are supported by actual geochemical data.

It is expected that the meeting will be followed by a polemic and analysis of the current situation of geochemistry development among representatives of oil producing companies, higher educational institutions and scientific research institutes.
