HYDROGEN ENERGY DEVELOPMENT

On September 7, our colleagues from the Hydrogen Energy Competence Centre attended the Kazakhstan-German Hydrogen Cooperation: Status and Prospects conference in Almaty. The event focused on the export potential of hydrogen and its derivatives to Germany and the EU, as well as specific practical approaches that contribute to the successful formation of the domestic market.

At the panel session, Saule Zholdayakova, Acting Head of the Centre for Hydrogen Energy Competences, presented the activities and tasks of the Centre, as well as further initiatives necessary for the hydrogen energy development such as the creation of a water resources atlas for green hydrogen projects, hydrogen energy standards development and further capacity-building of our specialists.

The objectives of the conference are to identify specific ideas and measures, as well as to foster networking among the two countries’ key stakeholders in the hydrogen industry (government, business associations, companies, academia, and civil society).
