To establish the National Hydrogen Energy Association in Kazakhstan

One of the most influential international scientists made such a proposal at a meeting with KMGE representatives.

This is Prof. Ibrahim Dincer, who heads a laboratory at the Ontario Tech University and is the author of more than 123 research papers, the editor-in-chief of 4 leading energy science journals on Web of Science and Scopus, and the founder of the Hydrogen Energy Association of Türkiye.

A few days ago, KMG Engineering’s Alternative Energy Department staff attended a lecture by the Professor held at the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University.

The scientist’s main research focus is alternative energy and, particularly, low-carbon hydrogen production and application technologies. Over the past nine years, the professor has been recognized as one of the most influential scientists in the field of engineering and one of the most cited researchers by Thomson Reuters. A number of research papers have been commercialized and successfully introduced into industry.

The KMGE staff first met the professor back in May 2022, during a visit to the World Hydrogen Energy Conference, where Saule Zholdayakova, Acting Director of the Department, presented an article on hydrogen energy development prospects in Kazakhstan. During another meeting with the AED staff, the professor invited KMGE experts to attend this year’s international conference on hydrogen energy, and he also shared his recommendations for the development of the new industry in Kazakhstan, specifically the establishment of the National Hydrogen Energy Association in Kazakhstan.
