Iskaziev Kurmangazy Oryngazievich

Iskaziev Kurmangazy Oryngazievich graduated from the oil department of the Kazakh Polytechnic Institute named after V.I. Lenin with a degree in mining engineer-geologist. In 2006, he defended his dissertation at the Tomsk Polytechnic University and was awarded the qualification “PhD in Geology and Mineralogy”. In 2021, at the Russian State University of Oil and Gas named after I.M. Gubkin, he defended his dissertation and was awarded the degree of Doctor of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences. Laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of science and technology named after Al-Farabi (2015).
He began his career in 1985 at the Embaneft production association, where he subsequently went through all stages of production from the operator to the general director of Embamunaigas JSC.
From 2006 to 2008, he held the positions of Deputy Director of the Department of Geology and Development, Director of the Department of Geology and Development of KazMunayGas Exploration Production JSC.
From 2008 to 2015, he worked at JSC NC KazMunayGas as Executive Director for Oil and Gas Production, Managing Director for Geology, Geophysics and Reservoirs, Chief Geologist, Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC NC KazMunayGas for Geology and Prospective Projects, Managing Director for Non-Operating Assets (Tengiz, Kashagan, Karachaganak), Managing Director for Geology.
From 2015 to 2018 – General Director (Chairman of the Management Board) of Embamunaigas JSC, General Director (Chairman of the Management Board) of KazMunayGas Exploration and Production JSC.
From 2018 to 2020 – Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of JSC NC KazMunayGas for exploration, production and oilfield services, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of JSC NC KazMunayGas for Geology and Exploration.
Since 2020 – General Director (Chairman of the Management Board) of KazMunayGas Exploration and Production JSC.
Since February 2022 – Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of JSC NC KazMunayGas for Exploration and Production.
